Volunteer/Events

BVHMparents

Show your children that you value their education and help make BVHM the school you want it to be. Volunteering is essential at BVHM, and there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Kermes: Part fundraiser, ALL good times, Kermes is our annual school carnival and community party in the Fall (usually October) with food, music, carnival games, and dancing. This is one of the most popular events for our students.

Room Parents: Every classroom teacher needs a pair of room parents to provide a link between teachers and families. Room Parents are essential to make sure that teachers have the resources they need in the classroom, and to keep families informed about upcoming events and class assignments.

La Gran Pachanga: An adults-only Spring evening of music, food and drink, and art. This event also includes our live, silent, and online auctions, which together are one of our largest fundraising opportunities for the year.

Read-a-thon: A month-long celebration of literacy and reading with fun events. BVHM loves reading, and the focus here is helping our kids achieve weekly reading goals. Families also ask those interested in their child’s education donate dollars for every book they read to help incentivize reading and to raise funds for our school.
