The English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a group of family, community, and staff members that meet at least once a month to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English learners and the SSC on the development of the Single School Plan for Student Achievement. The committee advises and assists the school principal, staff, and School Site Council (SSC) on other tasks, including the school’s program for English learners, the development of the Single School Plan for Student Achievement (BSC/SPSA), the school’s needs assessment, the school’s annual language census (R-30 LC Report), and efforts to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.

These meetings typically happen during the school day. The ELAC usually meets the 3rd Friday of the month from 9:30-10:30am and meetings are open to the public.
