Buena Vista Horace Mann K-8 Community School is a K–8th grade public elementary and middle school in the Mission District of San Francisco, California with the proud distinction of being San Francisco Unified School District’s first Two-Way Spanish Immersion School.

Eat at Tacolicious on Mondays in February and Support BVHM!
Every Monday in February, Tacolicious will donate 15% of their sales all day long at Tacolicious on Valencia Street to BVHM! We appreciate their continuing support of our school with these donations. So just by eating out (lunch or dinner!) on Mondays in February, you can help our school! 741 Valencia St and 19th St.

Thank you to families and staff who attended the Community Meeting on Feb. 12 to discuss how the upcoming Beacon Center will support our students and families over the coming years.  We plan on making several visits to Beacon Centers this Spring and if you are interested in visiting with us, please contact Family Liaison, Ricardo Calderon at calderonr@sfusd.edu.

Looking ahead to Carnaval!
The Carnaval Parade is coming up on May 27th! BVHM will again have a beautiful float, costume, dancers, and music. This is the 40th Anniversary of this great event, and the theme is “The Roots of
Carnaval.” We want everyone to participate, either by dancing, playing music, or watching the parade. Watch for more information coming home soon.
