Day of the Dead

Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a traditional Mexican celebration of ancestors and deceased family members. We are planning our annual altar display for this Nov. 2 holiday, and will begin constructing it on Tuesday, 10/30. It will be located to the left of the Office. We are inviting submissions of photographs of deceased loved ones, artwork, and artifacts for this altar. Please leave them in the Office for Bob Armstrong. Since it is a public display, please do not offer any objects that cannot be replaced, i.e., original photos. We also welcome parent volunteers who wish to help with making the altar or help in the classroom making Papel Picados, paper flowers, or skulls with the children.
